2020 CCTV burglary and theft statistics

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Scottish Police Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Scottish Police Authority,

I am researching the impact of CCTV on burglary and theft cases and would like to request:
- 2020 stats on burglary and theft cases solved and proved with CCTV
- 2020 stats on burglary and theft cases not solved because of poor CCTV footage quality
Yours faithfully,
Will Waldron

Scottish Police Authority

Dear Mr Waldron

I think you may have sent your request to the wrong organisation. The
Scottish Police Authority is the body with responsibility for oversight of
Police Scotland and as such does not have access to the type of
information requested.

Police Scotland would be the organisation best placed to manage your
request;

If I don’t hear back from you within 7 days I will assume you have
withdrawn your request based on my advice.
