2019 secondary transfer test: the time candidates spent answering questions 1-9 of VR section

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools,

I refer to the verbal reasoning (VR) section of the 2019 secondary transfer test. Following your decision to award all candiates a mark for questions 10 and 13, and to completely discard all answers to the last six questions, I would be truly grateful if you could furnish me with the following information.

1. The total time each candiate devoted to answering the remaining VR questions, which are to contribute towards their final STT score.

You can present the data in any way you see fit, such as a bar chart distribution or spreadsheet. But I would expect your response to include sufficient detail for me to be able to extract the mean time candidates devoted to answering these contributing questions, and also the distribution around this mean.

If you are not able to provide me with this information, then I would be extremely grateful if you could provide me with the analysis that allowed your independent statistician to conclude that this post hoc reengineering of the VR section of your transfer test is fair for all candidates.

Thank you so much in advance,

Neal Skipper
