Dear Queens’ College, Cambridge,

Could you provide the data of the applicants for the 2019 undergraduate admissions cycle for Philosophy and History.
Please could you give:
A- The number of A*s at GCSE
B- Predicted Grades
C-Results in Pre-interview Assessment (if applicable)
D- If invited to interview

Dear Ms DeLacy

Further to your request dated 26 November, 2018 under the Freedom of
Information Act, we have provided information for each of the subjects
that you mention, showing the range of achievements for our field.

For History, we had 31 applicants this year, of whom 30 were invited to
interview. The range of their predictions was from A*AA to A*A*A*A*. The
number of A* grades at GCSE ranged from 1 to 12. In the pre-interview
assessment, the range of scores for section 1 was from 1.0 to 9.0 and for
section 2 from 3.5 to 9.0.
For Philosophy, we had 12 applicants, all of whom were invited to
interview. The range of predictions was from A*AA to A*A*A*A*. The number
of A* grades at GCSE ranged from 3 to 12. There is no pre-interview
assessment for Philosophy.

If you feel that we have not dealt with your request under the Freedom of
Information Act properly, the College’s procedures indicate that you may
complain to the President who may be contacted at Queens’ College,

You also have the right to apply to the Information Commissioner for a
decision on whether your request has been dealt with in accordance with
the Freedom of Information Act.  The Information Commissioner will usually

Thank you for your email.  I believe the College anwered fully your
original request.

In respect to your request, if we were to provide the information in a
table format, I believe there is sufficient risk that it could lead to
individuals being identified and as such, Queens' College could
potentially be in violation of the Data Protection Act 2018..

In order to avoid any such potential issues, we have provided you with
summaries of the information you requested.  Queens' College will not
provide the information in a table format due to the exemption outlined in
Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act.

If you feel that we have not dealt with your request under the Freedom of
Information Act properly, the College’s procedures indicate that you may
