Lawrence Thompson

Dear Swansea Council,

I am interested in the amounts paid by each school in Swansea Council in relation to temporary teacher staffing cover / agency costs.

My hope is to receive an electronic breakdown of amounts paid by each school from the Consistent Financial Reporting System for each school. The two subjects in I would like to examine are Supply Teachers and Agency Supply Staff. In addition could you please include the number of pupils (enrolment size) at each school in another column?

I would like the information in an electronic format MS Excel please.

The information I require for each school is: School name, supply teachers annual total and agency supply staff annual total.

If possible, please could the spend be broken down by primary, secondary, Nursery and Special Needs schools and/or any other classification of school as well?

I would like the information to cover the year 2015/2016 and 2016/2017.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Lawrence Thompson

Dear Swansea Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Swansea Council's handling of my FOI request '2016/17 School agency supply spend'.

I do not understand how every other LEA can provide this information and Swansea LEA are the only authority who cannot give a breakdown of how much each school has spent? I've searched in previous requests and the LEA have been able to provide the amount spent across the board with New Directions. So this can surely be broken down into schools. I would like a deeper investigate into my request as your answer is not satisfactory.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,

Lawrence Thompson
