2015 Kent Test Statistics for all schools, along with HTA assessment

The request was partially successful.

Dear Kent County Council,

Please could you provide for each Kent school in 2015:

1) Name of school
Number of pupils in year 6 eligible to take the Kent Test
Number of Pupil Premium pupils in year 6 eligible to take the Kent Test
Number of pupils entered for the Kent Test (with breakdown by regular pupils & pupil premium pupils.)

2) Anonymised pupil results data:

The scores for all candidates (with a flag to show which candidates are Pupil Premium pupils) broken down by subject (English, Maths, Reasoning), and a total score, and broken down by school, with a column indicating if they were G or H, and a further column indicating if they were put forward for an HTA, and whether HTA was successful.

If it helps you have already created information for a near identical request here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/k...

I don't know if it would save your department time to adapt that and simply add which candidates were pupil premium students. That would fulfill the request as the earlier request contains everything else asked for.

Appreciate your help.

Yours faithfully,

Joanne Bartley

We will advise you as soon as possible if we do not hold this information

Dear Ms Bartley

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to Kent Test. I am pleased to
provide the response below:

1) Name of school - Number of pupils in year 6 eligible to take the Kent
Test Number of Pupil Premium pupils in year 6 eligible to take the Kent
Test Number of pupils entered for the Kent Test (with breakdown by regular
pupils & pupil premium pupils.)

2) Anonymised pupil results data: The scores for all candidates (with a
flag to show which candidates are Pupil Premium pupils) broken down by
subject (English, Maths, Reasoning), and a total score, and broken down by
school, with a column indicating if they were G or H, and a further column
indicating if they were put forward for an HTA, and whether HTA was
successful.

Please see the attached spreadsheets titled ‘FOI-16-0905’ provided by Kent
Admissions and ‘FOI-16-0905 –Kent Test Pupil Premium’ provided by
Management Information.

Unfortunately the October 2015 Kent Test results data and October 2015
School Census data are not dealt with by the same team (MI and
Admissions), and as a result are not matched to each other. To match these
datasets (Census which contains 200,000 records and the Kent Test results
with approximately 10,000 records) which are not linked by any common
identifier (e.g. UPN) would exceed the appropriate limit of £450 (18 hours
at £25 per hour), so under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, we are not obliged to deal with this element of your request.

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, please ask for a review by following our complaints
process; details can be found at this link
[1]http://www.kent.gov.uk/about-the-council...
on our website. Please quote reference FOI/16/0905.

If you still remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can
appeal to the Information Commissioner, who oversees compliance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Details of what you need to do, should
you wish to pursue this course of action, are available from the
Information Commissioner’s website [2]http://www.ico.org.uk/concerns.

Yours sincerely
