Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request '1998 Letter from Sir Robert Walmsley, Chief of Defence Procurement'.

Although MoD have provided assistance regarding a possible alternative location for the document it did not refer in this assistance to the National Audit Office (NAO) which a cursory reading reveals to be the destination of the letter. This suggests that MoD may not have conducted a proper investigation and search for the document. It is therefore reasonable to ask for a review of the search and whether or not "National Audit Office" was a search term used.

This document, is of potential historical significance to researchers of UK - Saudi arms deal bribery and corruption, and in light of current Saudi violations of international humanitarian law in Yemen, it has relevance to the current public debate over UK arms exports.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/1...

Yours faithfully,
