1988 - 1991 Factor Files
Dear Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust,
I am writing to request under the freedom of information act any/all copies of administrative correspondence, letters and/or any other documentation including minutes of meetings etc that mention or relate to:
HIV / AIDS or Hepatitis, AND, Haemophilia / Haemophiliacs during the period January 1st 1988 – December 31st 1991.
Please note that I am NOT requesting patient medical records which would obviously be exempt, but administrative correspondence, letters and/or any other documentation including minutes of meetings etc.
Please supply material preferably in PDF format though any format will suffice in the interest of keeping costs / time to a minimum if this is easier.
Yours faithfully,
JJ Evans

Dear FOI-RDASH (ROTHERHAM DONCASTER AND SOUTH HUMBER NHS FOUNDATION TRUST),
Please can you advise what time estimate the trust has made to deal with the request in order to determine an exemption appropriate?
Yours sincerely,
JJ Evans
Dear Sir/Madam
To fulfil your request, and to determine if we hold this information, staff would have to check any documents that are held on site, and all records that are stored off site. These records may not be indexed under HIV / AIDS or Hepatitis, AND, Haemophilia / Haemophiliacs and will be contained within the document so said documents will have to be checked manually. Redaction would then need to be undertaken where necessary. Due to the size of this organisation, which spans three geographical areas, this data will not be held in just one location. Also, due to the time period requested, and, dependent on the class of record, they may have been destroyed as per the recommendation of the Department of Health’s Retention Guide. For this work to take place the Trust determines that it would take upward of 18 staff hours and therefore the Trust is applying exemption 12 of the FoIA ‘cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limit’.
Kind regards
Lynne Trickett
