Dear Ms Owens
Thank you for your e-mail of 27 July asking for an electronic copy of the current version of
Queen’s Regulations (QR’s) for the RAF. I am treating your e-mail as a request for information
under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). We have now completed a search for the
information you requested and can confirm the information is held by the Ministry of Defence.
The link to The Stationary Office shop website which you provided in your e-mail refers to an
outdated version of the QR’s for the RAF, namely Amendment List (AL) 10 dated 2004 and is
therefore not the current version of QR’s. The department does hold electronic copies in PDF
format of RAF QR’s and they are attached as requested. Please note due to the size of the
documents they wil be sent separately. The MOD holds a complete copy of RAF QR’s up to
and including Amendment List (AL) 30 (contained within four separate documents).
Subsequently AL 31 and AL 32 have been issued and are also sent separately.
The FOI Act requires us to provide recorded information held by the department and therefore
we are not obliged to provide an explanation as to why RAF QR’s are not available
electronical y. However, as section 16 of the FOI Act requires us to provide applicants with
reasonable advice and assistance; we can advise you that it is the intention to publish RAF
QR’s at some point in the future.
If you are not satisfied with this response or wish to complain about any aspect of the handling
of your request, then you should contact me in the first instance. If informal resolution is not
possible and you are still dissatisfied then you may apply for an independent internal review by
contacting the
Deputy Chief Information Officer, 2nd Floor, MOD Main Building, Whitehal ,
SW1A 2HB (e-mai
l xxxxxxxxxx@xxx.xx). Please note that any request for an internal review
must be made within 40 working days of the date on which the attempt to reach informal
resolution has come to an end.
If you remain dissatisfied fol owing an internal review, you may take your complaint to the
Information Commissioner under the provisions of Section 50 of the Freedom of Information
Act. Please note that the Information Commissioner will not investigate your case until the
MOD internal review process has been completed. Further details of the role and powers of the
Information Commissioner can be found on the Commissioner's website,

Yours sincerely,
Air Command Secretariat 3b
