Hi Iain

Glad to see that the meetings are continuing as keeping good clear communication is extremely important -  being chaired alternately by the 2 groups makes sound sense.

I briefly spoke to Colin last night as I and Alex were observers at last night’s consultation group meeting -  also showed Alex around the harbour last night with one of our planning officers.

Finally thanks for the kind words, just doing my job, but if in the future the DFA / DHT need a impartial chair again I am available Monday to Thursday nights.

Regards

Richard

Subject: DHT/DFA Link Group meetings

Hi Richard,

You very kindly chaired meetings over the period when we had a number of issues to resolve. Now that is behind us, we've agreed to form a Link Group consisting of the representatives cc'd in this email.

We will meet once a month on a Friday evening, starting this Friday, and our role will be along the lines of providing an effective communications channel between the parties and make recommendations to our respective board/committee colleagues. Councillors and ELC officials may attend as observers anytime they wish.

We acknowledge you are unavailable to chair us now so we have decided to take turns about chairing with the other party taking minutes. May I thank you on behalf of the DFA for your earlier work both in meetings and dealing with numerous emails.

Kind Regards

Iain Maddox

DFA Secretary
