Dear all

Re below – I cannot recall making any statement in reference to prioritising 2 projects. Note I am not involved in the FLAG so I would not be present at any meeting pertaining to the funding.

I am aware however that there has been a substantial number of applications for the fund.

Regards

Richard

Re Peter's recall that Richard or Susan advised prioritising 2 projects, I unfortunately know nothing about that. It must have been at a separate meeting that Peter had with them.
The agreement reached at our meeting to discuss projects covered a number of projects, as already minuted, and reiterated last night. As you know, our applications already submitted cover all of these projects individually, with the davits and power points being linked together as one project.

Tom,

I went down to the harbour and briefed PJ and he's briefing the committee. He intends to print out and sign the agreement and meet up with you one evening to hand it over. His mobile number is 07969 514937.

PJ recalls that Richard Baty or Susan Smith advised prioritising two projects specifically in which case the powered davits and maintenance bay get our vote.

At the meeting tonight we agreed that, as required by FLAG, we require our organisations to  :
a)    Tave an equal opportunities policy, and
b)    where we involve young people, or have adults in contact with young people, have a child protection policy.

To that end, it was agreed that both DHT and DFA would adopt the principles as laid down in the attached documents :
a)    The Scottish Government document ' National Guidelines for Child Protection in Scotland 2010', and
b)     Equal Opportunities Policy, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Policy and Procedures Document.

Also attached is the Agreement re the projects for FLAG Grants as agreed by both DHT and DFA, as discussed at the meeting and requires to be signed by both Peter Johnstone and myself in relation to the 'Joint Applications' for these projects. I would be grateful if you could get signatures on 4 documents (2/FLAG, 1/DHT records, 1/DFA records) and get them back to me by this weekend for issue to FLAG with the supporting documents.
