Police were called to Hallfield Lane, Wetherby at about 3.30pm On Saturday
following reports a 12-year-old boy had been in collision with a bus.
The boy was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary with serious
internal injuries. Following surgery the boy is continuing to recover and his
injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
An 11-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident, as
detectives investigate the circumstances of what took place. He has
subsequently been released on police bail.

Police are investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 2.50am this
morning (04/03) where two vehicles were involved in an altercation at the
roundabout in the centre of Clayton at the junction with Town End Road,
Bradford Road and Green End.
Two vehicles are believed to have travelled up Low Lane at Clayton and onto the
roundabout.
Reports suggest that a firearm may have been discharged, although this has not
been confirmed.
The roads leading to the roundabout have been closed whilst Scenes of Crime
Officers conducted a search. Local officers have been making enquires and
reassuring the public.
The two vehicles made off from the immediate scene and were later seen in
Great Horton Road.
Vehicles involved were a Black VW Bora and a Black Vauxhall Astra.
The Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or information as to those

Police are attending reports of a serious road traffic collision on the M1 between
junctions 46 and 47. It happened just before 4.15pm and involved one car. The
M1 Northbound carriageway is being closed at junction 46 - diversions will be in
place. No further details are available at the moment.

Police are conducting enquiries on behalf of the Coroner following the death of a
15-week-old baby boy in the early hours of Thursday 28 February.
As part of the investigation, officers are trying to trace a key witness who they
believe is a student nurse and who assisted in providing CPR when the child
became unwell in the Primark store in central Leeds around 5pm on Wednesday
27 February.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

“There is not a significant problem with child sexual exploitation in Wakefield.
Because of national concerns raised regarding this issue, we are being proactive
in working with partners to ensure we are on the front foot and ensure we don’t
develop a problem.
To be clear these are 10 young people who are not currently victims of CSE but
who we think could become victims. Police and partner agencies are working
with these young people and their families to help protect them and guard

Police were called to woods near Station Approach Huddersfield at about
12.36pm after a member of the public came across the body of a man.
Officers attended and found the body of a white male who appears to be in his
1950's.
A full post mortem will be conducted and enquiries are underway to try and
identify the man.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time and
enquiries remain ongoing.

was believed to a potentially suspicious package was discovered. The area has

At 11.14am yesterday police received a report of a badly decomposed body
having been found near to Horbury Lagoon, on Calder Grove, Wakefield. Officers
attended and secured the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to determine how the
body came to be there and if there are any suspicous circumstances.

OFFICER INJURED- LEEDS TRAIN STATION

At around 00.55am in the early hours of this morning (21/3) a 35-year-old man
was injured following a fall at Leeds Train Station. He remains in a serious
condition at Leeds General Infirmary.
The injured man is an officer with West Yorkshire Police and was not on duty at
the time.
HOUSE FIRE - MILROYD CRESCENT, BATLEY

Officers received a call just before 8.50am this morning reporting a house fire on
Milroyd Crescent, Batley
Officers are in attendance at the scene along with the fire service.
A 13-year-old girl has been taken to LGI by ambulance for treatment to smoke
inhalation.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.
