Your Excellent Adult Safeguarding Policy - may I please have additional information

The request was successful.

Dear Office of the Public Guardian,
Firstly, may I inform you I am elderly with long term physical health problems, and a long term mental health condition diagnosed as PTSD - I class myself as an adult at risk. I am a blue badge holder also. I have carefully read your safeguarding policy, dated May 2013 , as ive found it one of the most comprehensive around, compared to the watered down safeguarding policies ive seen on too many County Council websites. I have had an alert raised by my local Healthwatch organisation, but do not expect my concerns to be dealt with fairly or thoroughly. I am therefore writing to you to ask you to PLEASE - as soon as possible -to identify and make me aware of ALL Legislation, guidelines , policies and other relevant documents that were referred to and used in the preparation of your Safeguarding Policy ( May 2013 ), so I may try to better understand the process that is about to commence. I have been subjected to many areas of abuse for many years now, and I wish to obtain the best knowledge I can to represent myself as best I can without being further abused and walked over again by the adult safeguarding procedures that have failed me in the past. I know in Law you have 20 working days to respond, but may I please ask you to make a ' reasonable adjustment ' by providing a full response to my request as soon as possible PLEASE ?

Yours faithfully,

Steven King

Dear Indy Kaur - OPG FOI Enquiries,

Thank you so much for your timely response, and the very helpful information and links you have provided . I am delighted with your responses - if only all public bodies could be so helpful and considerate GB would be a far better place in which to live. You may be interested to look at the whatdotheyknow website, look under say Wiltshire Council - then click on my name to see the numerous requests ive needed to make to public bodies within this secretive and abusive county, that bullies me and harms me , and observe the discriminatory and abusive manner in which they handle FOI requests submitted by an ' at risk ' adult !
I hope you are interested enough to carefully read the level of service ive received - it makes me a one time laid back person who has always previously respected the authorities - very bitter and unhappy to be treated as I have been - an abuse of power etc !
Yours sincerely,

Steven King

Dear Indy Kaur - OPG FOI Enquiries,
Firstly may I apologise for finding it necessary to contact you again after you have been so helpful, but a considerable number of the links you kindly provided me with to find the information I was seeking when clicked upon come up blank or not found. May I ask you to provide me with the current up to date links to the information you provided, and maybe suggest you update the OPG records to help you in the future. Thank you for your anticipated assistance with these matters,

Yours sincerely,

Steven King

Dear Mr King

Thank you for your emails of 25 October 2013 and your kind comments.

When formulating the FOI response, we did not hold any document with the links listed as such. I searched for each reference we used online for the publicly available link where possible and provided these in our letter. Although I tested these links initially, they appear to have been lost or changed when the letter was converted into PDF format. I apologise for the inconvenience caused where the links did not work, as I did not test the converted document also. I will certainly note this for future reference.

I have now provided the same information in the format of a word document and hope that this resolves the problem, as the links do work when accessed on the OPG computers. If you have any further difficulties, please try copying and pasting the link into your internet browser, or please let me know which document you are unable to access and I will provide this to you.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any further problems.

Kind Regards
