Dear Murray, Cath,
There appears to be no substantive correspondence on the issues of museum charges with any of the councillors or any of the chief officers - in fact nothing. In view of this significant issue it seems extraordinary that not a word was exchanged on such a significant matter. In fact it is very hard to believe that in hundreds of pages I only see meeting date issues and issues not relevant to this FOI.
please can you check to ensure that there is no substantive correspondence - the many many pages on trying to fix meeting dates only serve to support the point Jamet Barnes made regarding many failed attempts to arrange meetings.

Yours sincerely,

Gwen Swinburn

Beane, Robert,

Dear Ms Swinburn

On 19 August 2016 you made a request to the council as follows:

Please produce all emails between Kersten England James Alexander Sonja
crisp daf Williams Charlie croft and Ian Floyd with the chief exec and
chief finance officer of York museums trust between January 1 2013 and now

The council replied on 17 September with a large set of emails. They did
not include discussion of certain matters which you expected to be
present, and on 23 September you asked for a review. The officers
concerned have checked and confirmed that all relevant emails have been
included. The councillors had already confirmed that no additional
material was held by them. I have not carried out an automated search of
the council’s email system, as this would require significant time, likely
to exceed the cost limit, to be spent discounting what has already been
provided. I have no substantial reason to disbelieve officers’ and
councillors’ confirmations, and would not expect to discover new material.
I therefore conclude that, on balance of probabilities, the council
responded to your request in full.

As you did not comment on the exemptions claimed I have not reviewed them.
The council’s reply did not identify or explain them as it should have,
for which I apologise. May I also apologise for the lateness of this
reply. You may if you wish complain, about either or both of these issues,
to the Information Commissioner by email at [1][email address] or
by post to:

It is beyond belief that the responsible Cabinet member ( Cllr Crisp) would fail to Email Mr Croft with her views on charging at the Art Gallery and Museums.
