Work Capability Assessment Outcomes

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

In the Parliamentary deposited papers archive there are a number of guidance documents for Universal Credit.

The guidance titled "Work Capability Assessment" refers the reader to a document called "work capability assessment outcomes" at the end, however that second document is not indexed.

I would be grateful for a copy of the Work Capability Assessment outcomes guidance.

I would also be grateful for any guidance regarding how the WCA is administered in both New Style ESA and Universal Credit. I am keen to know whether a WCA outcome can be implemented without the need for an MSRS referral.

Yours faithfully,

Dan Manville

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Work Capability Assessment Outcomes'.

The outcomes have been provided but I asked another question which is yet to be addressed; can a WCA outcome be processed without a referral through MSRS?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/w...

Yours faithfully,

Dan Manville

DWP has published a new UC50 form

New 2021 UC50 Work Capability Assessment form, that lets you easily stop the DWP telling your GP to stop issuing ‘Fit-Notes’
This follows on from the same changes being made for the ESA1 claimant form and the ESA WCA form.
