This is because the figures in Table 3.8 are shown by the purpose of spend (such as social protection or education) and not by the economic categories required to calculate GDP. The Scottish Government does not hold these figures broken down by economic category."
In which way does Scottish/Scotland/SNP Government calculate 'public expenditure' contribution to GDP?
For example, every man & his dog knows 'top contribution to Scottish GDP' = NHS expenditure.
