What date did the Belvoir Hunt pay for the loaned SKDC roads weeper in 2019 ?

The request was successful.

Dear South Kesteven District Council,
at the recent Full council meeting in September, Council Leader Kelham Cooke stated the Belvoir Hunt had paid for the use of an SKDC road sweeper at their Boxing Day event. Can you tell me the following

How many SKDC employees were deployed with the truck
How long were the SKDC employees deployed for
What is the hourly rate of rental for a road sweeper from SKDC and does that amount cover the employees pay ?
How much did the Belvoir Hunt pay for the road sweeper loan
What date did they pay for the rental / loan of the road sweeper

Yours faithfully,

chris noon

Dear Mr Noon

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Information Request

Reference No: 1645206

Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 dated 15/10/2019 15:35:23.

One SKDC employee was deployed with a truck. The sweeper was out for 4 hours, 2 hours of which were spent cleaning up around the Paddocks.

When any large event is staged in the District it is to be expected that an element of post-event clean-up is required. The same applied for the meeting of the Belvoir Hunt on Boxing Day in 2018. It was agreed with the hunt representatives, before Boxing Day, that they would meet all costs associated with the hunt meeting.

When the hunt vacated the Paddocks on Boxing Day, hunt staff cleaned the whole area and left the paddocks in the same state as it was when handed over to them.

SKDC do not hire or loan roadsweepers. The roadsweeper carried out a routine sweep of the roads around the paddocks as part of standard council business. The Hunt organisers have since offered to meet the cost of the sweeper and an invoice has been issued.

The total amount invoiced was £90 inc VAT (the copy invoice is attached). The payment was received 25th September 2019.
