Children Families & Wellbeing FOI, Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council

Dear Ms Warburton,

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request (FOI 9211)
dated 09th March 2020.

Please see the Council’s response below;

Could you please provide the number of admissions accepted out of the WA14
and WA15 postcode area for the last 5 years and the furthest distance? For
Wellington High School in Timperley?

Trafford co-ordinates allocations in the first round of Year 7.  All other
admissions and all appeals are dealt with by the school direct.  In the
case of first round allocations no children have been allocated a place at
Wellington School from outside the WA14 and WA15 postcode areas on the
basis of distance criteria in any of the last 5 years.

Less than 5 children with a priority that did not consider their home
address, e.g. Looked after and previously looked after children;
(Previously looked after children are children who were looked after, but
ceased to be so because they were adopted, or became subject to a child
arrangements order or special guardianship order, and children with an EHC
Plan that named the school who thereby have a legal right to attend the
school by dint of the EHCP, resident outside the WA14 WA15 postcode areas,
were allocated places at the school in the first round of Year 7 in the
last 5 years.

I hope this is helpful however if you are dissatisfied with the handling
of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review.

of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed
to: Information Governance Manager, Trafford Council, Town Hall, Talbot
