Weightings for social value used in procurement of services

Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

Good morning
I wish to receive the following information:

• The social value weighting applied in all above threshold tenders and frameworks issued in 2021 for contracts or frameworks. I do not require information on products/goods, works or construction, only services, but if the information is recorded in one dataset, I am happy to “clean” this myself.

• The price and quality weightings used in the above contracts or frameworks. Again, if the dataset contains all tenders, I am happy to “clean” the data.

Note that neither contract awards or notices consistently provide weighting on social value or detail quality/price weighting and so I am unable to reliably and consistently find these anywhere else.

An MS Excel file is the preferred format but any other format should be ok too.

I do not require any personal of financial data.

Should sourcing the information take longer than the allotted time of 18 hours, I am happy to receive what information can be made available within the 18 hour time limit as long as a statement saying the limit has been reached accompanies the response.

I do not require the names of suppliers or any commercial information
Yours faithfully,
Neil Capstick

Dear Neil,

We have completed the compilation of information in response to your
request.

We can confirm that we do not hold the information of the description
specified in your request. Please see detail in red italics below.

• The social value weighting applied in all above threshold tenders and
frameworks issued in 2021 for contracts or frameworks. I do not require
information on products/goods, works or construction, only services, but
if the information is recorded in one dataset, I am happy to “clean” this
myself.

In 2021 SUPC did not issue any tenders or frameworks for services.

• The price and quality weightings used in the above contracts or
frameworks. Again, if the dataset contains all tenders, I am happy to
“clean” the data.

For your general information, for SUPC tendered frameworks we weight no
less than 10% to Responsible Procurement and this has elements of social
value in it.

SUPC only tender 12 or so frameworks, so our dataset is severely limited
as well.

If you would like to have a conversation around this at all, then one of
our staff is happy to have a chat with you.
