Weed control

The request was successful.

Dear Warrington Borough Council,

I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. What method do you use for weed control?
2. Do you use Chemicals?
3. If you use chemicals is the council looking to using a more environmentally friendly method?
4. Does the council carry out weed control duties in-house or is this contracted out?
5. (If contracted out) who is the contractor responsible for street cleansing duties?
6. Contact details for the person(s) responsible for managing weed control within the council
I look forward to receiving your response.

Yours faithfully,

John Allen

So they're admitting to using hazardous materials. The chikara safety sheet basically states they don't know what it does to us, but it's extremely toxic to aquatics and shouldn't be released into the environment. Think I'll have a root on USEC and see if warrington borough council are listed as a company...as many councils are since HMT went bust...they're all private corps
