Water Fluoride Sample Data
Dear Welsh Water,
I would like to request some information on water fluoride levels for a public health research study at the University of Manchester.
For any of your water supply regions that cross into England, please can you supply:
1. Water fluoride concentration sample data (consumer tap samples) for every Water Supply Zone that you supply water to, for every year from 2009-2020?
Please supply this in Mg of fluoride per litre, with the date of the sample, and the Water Supply Zone name and zone code, preferably as an Excel file.
2. GIS Shapefile maps showing the English Water Supply Zone boundaries for every year from 2009-2020.
Many thanks in advance,
Yours faithfully,
Deborah Moore

2009-2020?
Please supply this in Mg of fluoride per litre, with the date of the

Please find attached a spreadsheet entitled ‘Fluoride Data’.
2. GIS Shapefile maps showing the English Water Supply Zone boundaries for

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water don’t hold a shapefile map to disclose.
To explain, since 2017 it has been a requirement of ours to provide the
DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate) with a copy of our Water Quality/ Supply
Zones for each year. However, the provision of this data is not supplied
as a ‘shape file’, but as a pdf map of our whole supply area.
Please find attached the PDF entitled ‘Water Quality Zone Maps 2017-2019’.
We hope that this response is clear. Should you have any questions, you
can contact us at [1][email address].
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within 40 working days of the date of receipt of this response
