Walsall Schools Olympics judging criteria.

Luke Bunger made this Rhyddid Gwybodaeth request to Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am writing to enquire about the judging criteria for the recent Walsall School Olympics.

At this event Cooper and Jordan Primary School in Aldridge won the £75 Amazon voucher, but with no explanation as to how or why they deserved this.

While the Children at Cooper and Jordan did a good job, it seems clear to most present that they did not do anything significantly different than most other schools, and that some stood out more than they did—Blakenall Heath Jr. School, for example, had children who wore national dress, the main "Stand out" feature of Cooper and Jordan's presentation, but also went to great effort to perform using puppets and produced custom printed shirts for the event too.

As Cooper and Jordan seem to win all such events, we would like to know the specific judging criteria for this particular event, and to also request that the judging criteria for future events to be made public as well.

Yours faithfully,

Luke Bunger
