Wall Ties

Homes England did not have the information requested.

Dear Homes England,

The building insurance taken out by the millions of home owners does not cover for the breakdown of wall ties.

Millions of homes built prior to the 1980s have the possibility of external cavity walls separating and making homes dangerous and unfit to live in.
What action has been taken to see that the responsibility of this danger and any incurred costs rests with the owners, mortgage lenders and assurance agents and not with Government funding.

Yours faithfully,

James A Owen
