Wall Built and then Knocked Down Outside the College

The request was successful.

Dear SEEVIC College,
The wall that was built outside the college was built while I attended the college, this was considered as not the best choice of way to spend money for the college as most students believed that computers in the college were below the standard expected.

The wall was then recently knocked down, only standing for around 1 year. This was obviously a massive waste of money by putting the wall up and then knocking it back down.

I would just like to know what the reason the wall was put up in the first place and then why was it knocked down?

Yours faithfully,

Zack

Dear Zack Wrigglesworth

The entrance wall was built as part of our major capital refurbishment
works in 2012.  The wall was designed incorrectly and suffered significant
structural defects which were too severe to allow the wall to remain in
place.  Its proximity to the highway and public footpath gave the college
no choice but to seek appropriate advice and act upon it, hence the
demolition.

We are currently seeking a resolution to the liability for the design and
will reconstruct the wall in due course.

Yours sincerely

John Revill

Vice Principal
