Dear University of the Highlands and Islands,

Please provide me with the following information:

1. The number of academic staff that have taken voluntary redundancy / voluntary severance January 1st 2005 to the present.

2. The number of academic staff taking voluntary redundancy / voluntary severance during that period that have been required, as a term / condition of their Compromise Agreement, to withdraw an existing Subject Access Request under s.7 Data Protection Act 1998.

3. The number of academic staff taking voluntary redundancy / voluntary severance during that period that have been required, as a term / condition of their Compromise Agreement, to relinquish any right to submit a Subject Access Request under s.7 Data Protection Act 1998 subsequent to terminating their employment with the University.

I refer to your request for information received on 12^th September 2012
relating to voluntary severance of academic staff since 1^st January 2005.

 

Please be advised that no members of the academic staff employed directly
by the University of the Highlands and Islands took voluntary redundancy
during this period. However, please note that because the University
operates as a collegiate federal partnership comprising of thirteen
independent further and higher education colleges, specialist colleges and
research institutions that the vast majority of the academic staff engaged
in Higher Education activity on behalf of the University are actually
employed by our partner organisations and you may wish to re-direct your
