Dear Care Quality Commission,
I have cared for my wife for two years and during that time I have not been approached by anyone to enquire of the quality of care I receive from my carers. The performance of a previous care company was a disgrace and this persuaded me to move to another small company in January 2011 with the satisfaction of knowing that always two carers will arrive within 1/4 hour either side of the agreed time. Another inmportant factor is that unlike previous companies I can comunicate with them 24 hours a day.
As part of your responsibility for care in the home, will you introduce visits to people who care for people in addition to your visits to the care companies. From reports I receive there would appear to be a need for the introduction of such an addition to your normal activities and this is also substantiated in view of the recent reports in the press and on tv and radio.
