Visit visa refusals for Pakistanis vs Non-Pakistanis from Pakistan
Dear Home Office,
By 'family visit visa' I refer to a visit visa where the applicant seeks to visit a member of their family in the United Kingdom. I would be grateful if you could tell me the proportion of only family visit visas refused for applications made from Pakistan for the years 2015 & 2016, separated by Pakistani and Non-Pakistani origin.
I would appreciate absolute and proportion statistics and if possible loosely categorized breakdown of reasons for rejection. (e.g insufficient funds, no reasons to return etc)
Additionally I would also like to know, since visit visas no longer have a right to appeal or administrative review, is there any means of accountability check or remediation towards the visas refused if errors are identified in the workings of UKVI which can affect the decisions made by visa officers.
Yours faithfully,
Sarah Roberts
