Vehicular Bollards and Bins Trenchard St

The request was refused by Bristol City Council.

Dear Bristol City Council,

The Vehicular Bollards installed within the areas of Trenchard St Carpark inaccessible by vehicles are clearly in place to displace the homeless chap that lives there. Could you explain in regards to the two following possibilities:

1) the bollards were a mistake; what steps are being taken to remove these Bollards to stores for re-use elsewhere in a place where vehicles can actually get near (door frame and passageway are smaller than a car, meaning that these Bollards will never be used for their stated purpose and should be moved elsewhere)

2) the bollards were anti homeless; what cost analysis was done on the homeless individual's ongoing care, could services or housing to the value of the £4,000 installation cost have solved the issues with 'anti social behaviour' in the carpark and was this even considered and costed?

3) after all the money spent on the carpark and with the chap still living there what further actions have been planned or taken

Yours faithfully,

Richard Carey
