Utility locating survey for Euston Road

The request was refused by High Speed Two (HS2) Limited.

Daniel Williams

Dear High Speed Two (HS2) Limited,

I should be grateful for a copy of the recent utility locating survey report undertaken in the Euston Road area.

This survey has resulted in many individually numbered colourful spraypainted markings on the pavements around Euston Road. I am seeking a copy of the report linked to these numbered markings, explaining what each number means. I was directed to you by Transport for London, who believe the survey was undertaken between 23rd February and 1st March.

My preferred format to receive this information is by electronic means. If one part of this request can be answered sooner than others, please send that information first followed by any subsequent data.

If you need any clarification of this request please feel free to email me. If FOI requests of a similar nature have already been asked could you please include your responses to those requests.

Yours faithfully,
Daniel Williams

Dear Mr Williams,

Could you please clarify what section(s) of Euston Road you are referring to? Euston Road is a long road spanning over 6.4km and to be accurate in our response we need to be sure the survey markings are HS2 related to. There are a number of other providers actively undertaking surveys on Euston Road at the moment and the marker colours they use may differ to the system we use. In some cases other utility providers have overlaid areas we have completed historic with new markings. Again their code/key would likely differ.

An example of something we could consider giving detailed information on would be "pavements on Euston road between Eversholt St & Hampstead road East bound". Once we have this information we can verify the markers are ours.

Kind regards,

Dear Mr Norris,

Thank you for your swift reply to my enquiry.

If possible I would like the full results of this utility locating survey, regardless of which streets segments they were on. If you require a boundary, then I would like all survey results within 1 kilometre of Euston Station.

In the words of Queen: I want it all.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel Williams
