Dear Darland High School, Wrexham,

Please could you supply the following information-

For the week beginning November 13th 2017. The total number of lessons taught in the school for those five school days.

The total number of lessons where a qualified teacher was not present and unqualified staff were there during the lesson i.e., cover supervisors, teaching assistants. Please note this should NOT include any lessons taken by students on a teacher training course.

I am happy to provide you with the information requested, but estimate
that it will incurr some two hours of administrative work to do so. In
accordance with our FOI policy, our charge for this will be £50 (£25 per
hour X 2). Please can you arrange payment with my Business Manager (copied
in) and I will arrange for you to be provided with the information you
request.

Dear Mr Knights,

Apologies for the delay in forwarding the information you have asked for.

In the week starting 13th November, out of 915 possible timetabled
lessons, 87 were taught by unqualified staff. Of these 87 lessons, 54 were
for staff absence and were taught by cover supervisors. The remainder
(33), were lessons on the timetables of members of staff who do not have
QTS in Wales.
