Use of Replay lecture capture

The request was successful.

Dear University of York,

Please could you tell me:

- What proportion of these events were recorded with Replay lecture capture and made available to undergraduates

Please could this data be broken down by Academic Department and provided for two distinct time periods:
- 1 October 2018 - 30 November 2018 inclusive
- 2 October 2017 - 1 December 2017 inclusive

Yours faithfully,

Dear  Mr Bithell
Thank you for your request for information from the University of York.
Please see our response below.

Please could you tell me:
- The number of timetabled events categorised as "Undergraduate Lectures"
at the University of York
- What proportion of these events were recorded with Replay lecture
capture and made available to undergraduates

These numbers are as follows:

(1) For 2017/8, 7466 UG lectures, with 51% recorded

(2) For 2018/9, 7743 UG lectures, with 79% recorded

Two points of clarification:

(a) This included modules at levels C, I and H irrespective of programme,
and excludes modules at other levels and other plenary sessions that may
be delivered in lecture format but are not part of the modular structure
(e.g. induction activities)

(b) This does not exclude recordings that may have failed due to technical
issues or recordings which may not have been released to students by
decision of an individual lecturer.  It shows what was scheduled for
recording.

Please could this data be broken down by Academic Department and provided
for two distinct time periods:
- 1 October 2018 - 30 November 2018 inclusive
- 2 October 2017 - 1 December 2017 inclusive

We have been unable to obtain this data at the present time. We will
provide an update on this as soon as we are able to do so.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Bithell
Further to my response to your FoI request below I can now provide some
information for the second part of your request. Due to a change of
systems in the timetabling department in the time-frame requested, we have
not been able to get the data out in exactly the way you requested. We
have been able to obtain figures for the each complete academic year given
that we always timetable a whole year at a time. The figures we hold are
in the attached Excel spreadsheet.
Kind regards
