Use of Council Owned Building For Private Cable Landing Station

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Sefton Borough Council,

I am writing with regard to the Discovery Centre located at Promenade The Bungalow (Adjoining The Lido) Ainsdale, PR8. According to various sources, Sefton MBC own this building.

According to Sefton MBC Planning portal, application number [N/1999/0271] shows an application reference

"(1) Change of use to a telecom cable station incorporating a visitor centre for Sefton Council Leisure Services (2) Erection of a two storey viewing tower and a single-storey generator room involving alterations to the elevations of the existing building"

Can you please confirm through this FOI request that:

1) Sefton MBC own / operate this building?
2) If this building is also used as a subsea Cable Landing Station?
3) If Sefton MBC receive any revenue form either BT Ireland (formerly Esat Telecom) relating to it's use as a cable landing station?

Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter for me, I look forward to receiving your response.

Yours faithfully,

Mittus Catus
