Use of case law in asylum decision making
Dear Home Office,
How do decision makers on asylum cases access case law when considering a claim and writing decision letters?
It appears from our experience that there are standard sections of case law that are used routinely to respond to common issues. We ask for disclosure of any such source document(s).
In particular, we ask for any document, database or training material that advises use of the case AE FE (PTSD - Internal Relocation) Sri Lanka [2002] UKIAT 05237.
Yours faithfully,
Laura Smith
