Dear Cambridgeshire County Council,

Please can you provide the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:

1 - How many qualified social workers were working on a temporary (agency) basis at the Council on 1st April 2020, split by:

a) Children’s Services social work roles
b) Adults’ Services social work roles

2 - How many qualified social workers were working on a temporary (agency) basis at the Council on 3rd August 2020, split by:

a) Children’s Services social work roles
b) Adults’ Services social work roles

3 - What was the total spend by your organisation on temporary (agency) social work professionals during the financial year 1/4/19 to 31/3/20?

At the present time the Information Governance Team, the service which deals with requests made under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts as well as EIR and GDPR, and other Council services are under great pressure due to the impact of the Coronavirus. Please can you provide the following information under the Freedom of

Our response:

 

1 – a) 18 Social Workers plus 6 Team Managers;  b) 20 Social Workers plus
1 Team Manager.

 

2 – a) 22 Social Workers plus 6 Team Managers;  b) 12 Social Workers plus
1 Team Manager.

 

3 – £3,866,412.

 

Please note, the figures provided above are the closed recorded data we
have to the dates in question (i.e. within a week) and the total spend for
the year 2019/20 is for all Qualified Social Care staff which is
predominately Social Workers but also includes managers hence why we have
included Team Manager agency numbers in the figures.
