requested is enclosed.

1 - How many qualified social workers were working on a temporary (agency)
basis at the Council on Monday 20th May 2019, split by:

a)    Children’s Services social work roles

18

b)    Adults’ Services social work roles

34

2 – What was the total spend by your organisation on temporary (agency)
social work professionals during the financial year 1/4/18 to 31/3/19?

Data available and provided for September 2018 to March 2019 -
£1,322,280 this is due to change of agency provider during 2018/19

For both questions above the number of social workers used and the agency
spend also includes locums used for individual assessments, DoLS
assessment, BIA's and short term project work.  This agency usage is not
wholly representative of vacant social worker posts.

If you have a complaint about the handling of your request then please
contact me.  I will arrange for an internal review which will be
considered as part of Stage 2 of the Council’s complaints procedure.
