University graduate percentage

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear University of Cambridge,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.

1. I would like to know the percentage of students that graduated from the University of Cambridge in the academic year 2016/2017. (For example 80% of students who were due to graduate, successfully graduated from the University of Cambridge)

2. If possible I would like these numbers broken down into courses. (For example, 80% of students studying English who were due to graduate, successfully graduated from the University of Cambridge)

I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing/by email that you have received this request. I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as outlined by the statute.

Yours faithfully,

Kaylee Poloczek

After contacting the University's Student Statistics Office we write to seek clarification on the scope of your request, specifically the following questions.

1) Are you asking specifically about undergraduate students? If you want us to include postgraduate students you will need to explain what timeframe you would like us to use in assessing when PhD students are 'due to graduate'.
2) Are you asking for the percentage of students who successfully completed their course of study or specifically the percentage who attended a graduation ceremony?

We look forward to hearing from you (until when, in accordance with sections 1(3) and 10(6)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the 20-working-day deadline for us to reply to your request is suspended).

Dear Freedom of Information Office,

Thank you for your reply and taking the time to clarify this.

1) Are you asking specifically about undergraduate students? If you want us to include postgraduate students you will need to explain what timeframe you would like us to use in assessing when PhD students are 'due to graduate'.
-I am asking only for undergraduate student information.

2) Are you asking for the percentage of students who successfully completed their course of study or specifically the percentage who attended a graduation ceremony?
-This is students who successfully completed the course of study and were, therefore eligible to graduate.

I hope this clarifies my request.

Regards,

Kaylee Poloczek
