Dear South Birmingham Primary Care Trust (PCT),

Please could you provide all statistical data you hold broken down year by year, in relation to admissions due to fractures in babies, going back from 2011 to whatever date is reasonable.

I am particularly interested in

1. The age of the child at the time of injury.
2. Name of the Hospital
3. Whether the Fractures had an organic explanation. (If so what was the cause eg. Brittle bones, Vitamin D deficiency etc)
4. Whether the Fractures were recorded as non accidental.
5. Whether police were informed.
6. Whether the child was adopted (records show child's change of name and parent).
7. Whether the child died from the injuries.
8. Whether Social Services were informed.

I appreciate that it may not be possible to provide all the above listed information however I would be grateful to receive whatever information you have available and signposting towards other organisations who may hold the relevant data.

Yours faithfully,

B McKenzie

Dear B McKenzie

Following an recent review of outstanding FOI requests, it has been
established that South PCT still has an outstanding request from you, this
is below. I apologise that your request has not yet been responded and
assure you that this remains active.

You request has now been transferred into the Birmingham and Solihull NSH
Cluster to ensure a response is provided.   Birmingham and Solihull NHS
Cluster has been entrusted by each PCT, Heart of Birmingham tPCT, NHS
Birmingham East and North, NHS South Birmingham and Solihull PCT, to lead
the local NHS across the city and borough.

Following the review of your FOI request which you have submitted
(attached below), the PCT is unable to complete the response without
further clarity upon the information that you are requesting.

In order for information to be sought the trust requires confirmation of
the ICD10 codes.  Unfortunately there are numerous codes for this level of
information that you have requested.  It is also thought that to complete
the work as it stands will exceed the total 18hours as described within
the FOIA.  For the trust to complete the request please confirm which data
by the necessary codes you require.  Please also define age range of
babies that you require data for.
