Underlying cause of death: ICD-10, U07.1 and U07.2

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Office for National Statistics,

I am aware of your weekly deaths data:
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationa...

The data requested is the data in row 15 (Deaths registered to ICD-10, U07.1 and U07.2) but on an 'underlying' basis, not 'mentions' basis. This is as per the data in row 14.

I would also like to know on which rows/sections of the death certificate there was a mention of covid, if any, for the totals presented each week in the row 14 data. For example, for the 2,100 deaths in week 14, it might be that 500 did not mention covid, 1000 mentioned it in section 2 and 600 in section 1.

Please supply the data for all weeks in 2020 for which the weekly release (above) has been made at the time you respond to my request.

Can you also confirm that you will publish this data in the release in all future weeks?

Yours faithfully,

Simon Briscoe
