Dear Liz Wake,
Thank you for your prompt response to my questions.
However your response relates only to a small proportion of the 2019 law applicants to Peterhouse. It is apparent from information made publicly available on the University website subsequent to my request that Peterhouse received more than 50 applicants and I should like to receive the information that I originally requested in relation to all of those applicants rather than a sub group which represents less than half of the total number of applicants
Yours sincerely,

David Beatty

Dear David

Thank you for your email following up on your original FOI received in February. I believe the missing data relates to those applicants who didn't get through to the interview stage of selection which we didn't include. Apologies for the omission and Admissions are preparing the revised stats for you which I will send as soon as possible.

Kind regards

Liz

Dear Mr Beatty

My apologies for the delay in replying to your second email, we are in the holiday period and I have just returned myself.

The Admissions Office have prepared the attached spreadsheet with the following commentary:

This is for all entrants in 2019 so excludes applications for 2020 entry and includes deferred applications from previous rounds. Number of A* at GCSE includes A* letter grades as well as grades 8 and 9 in reformed GCSEs. Where candidates sat GCSEs but did not achieve any such grades it is coded as 0. Where GCSEs were not taken this column is left blank. I've included UK domicile to help make sense of school type. School type 'other' mostly means non-UK school but will also include UK candidates making an application independently and not through their school. The number of candidates which ultimately enter may vary as some of those made an offer may not meet their offer conditions or may turn their place down. Some candidates who were rejected in January may be eligible for UCAS Adjustment in August and so may end up as students at Cambridge.

I hope this answers your question.

Yours sincerely

Liz Wake
