UKVI Priority Visa (PV) application Processing

David Hugkulstone made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

David Hugkulstone

Dear Home Office,

Under a previous FOI Response (48957), we were told that global timescales for resolving UKVI Priority Visa (PV) applications were calculated by:

..'using the total number of Working Calendar Days between the System Application Date and the Decision Date plus Lead/Lag Times.'

According to the FOI response provided, we were informed that the UKVI 'applies “Lead” and “Lag” information for individual VACs.' “Lead” refers to the time taken between the customer submitting their biometrics at the VAC and the application being received at the DMC for consideration. “Lag” is based on time taken for documents to be couriered post-decision, accounting for the time between the decision being made and the customer receiving their decision letter or endorsed passport.

This request:
During the most recent 3 month period that statistics are currently available for, please can you confirm the following:

- The average 'lead' time applied within your Global VAC operation during this period.
- The average 'lag' time applied within your Global VAC operation during this period.
- The longest single 'lead' time experienced within your Global VAC operation during this period.
- The longest single 'lag' time experienced within your Global VAC operation during this period.

Yours faithfully,

David Hugkulstone
