UK police employing migrant workers

The request was refused by West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner.

Dear West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner,

It has come to me and my associates attention that UK police will not employ migrant workers, unless they have lived in the UK for at least three years.

1] Police have said in their application forms that migrant workers cant be checked for 3 years, so as this is the case why are they allowed to work with vulnerable people as the Disclosure and Barring Service work alongside the police in the checking of applicants ?

2] Are all UK police application forms the same format for employment as police constables ?

3] UK police have been employing migrant workers who have lived in the Uk for 3 years, but but migrant workers can work with vulnerable people in the interim time, why has this been allowed ?

4] Why does the Uk have a two tier system for applicants wanting to be police constables and safety issues with vulnerable people checks in the public domain ?

Kind regards,

Peter Danby and Associates

Dear West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner's handling of my FOI request 'UK police employing migrant workers'.

Specific questions were asked that needed clarifying and as such have not been answered. The information requested is not secret, so you are required to answer questions put to you in this FOI request.

Migrant workers need to of lived in the UK for 3 years before they can be employed as police constables, (can't check them for criminal records) and as this is the case in the interim time migrant workers can work with vulnerable people. Why is this allowed to go on ?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/u...

Yours faithfully,

peter danby and associates

Dear Mr. Danby and associates,

An internal review has now been undertaken with regards to your Freedom of Information request concerning UK police employing migrant workers.

We have reviewed all your items relating to your Freedom of Information and we are satisfied that all our responses have been appropriate.

You do not ask for simple information or data, you are asking for justification of certain policies. Those policies are not designed, owned or implemented by the Police and Crime Commissioner. This is why we have referred you to other agencies who may be able to offer help such as the National Police Chief's Council (NPCC) and the Government.

Yours sincerely

Dear OPCC,

I get the impression i am doing FOI requests to a corporation and that the NPCC is another, these are not Public Bodies and are therefore legally outside the remit of FOI requests which raises questions, is this LAWFUL Andy Champness Chief Executive ?

Furthermore in law these organisations are in conflicts of interest.....

Andy Champness Chief Executive why are you referring me to none Public Bodies ?

Interesting response given that corporations are destroying the infrastructure of the UK and that you think due diligence has been done......
