UK District Heating Networks

Dear Department of Energy and Climate Change,

In March 2013, DECC published 'The Future of Heating: Meeting the Challenge'. In the chapter on district heating, it refers to a database of 2,000 district heating networks. I require more information on these schemes - please can you make the database available in whatever format is permissible?

Yours faithfully,

Tom Fletcher

Of course, "summarised data from the database" is not the same as the database itself. DECC can legitimately rely on future plans for publication as an exemption to release under FOI and EIR. However once you've seen the summary data you may wish to press DECC to justify why they have not released the full data, since that is reasonably in scope of your request.

Summary evidence on District Heating Networks in the UK
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

This is basically just a report containing a statistical summary of information in the new database of district heating networks. It is not really equivalent to the information described by Mr Fletcher in his FOI request.
