Dear The National Museums and Galleries of Wales,
I refer to land at the rear of the Turner Gallery Plymouth Road Penarth
Have the National Museum of Wales purchased the freehold or extended their lease on Hashed area 5 on the Conveyance Document dated4 April 1970 which is the date the lease on the land transferred from the Earl Of Plymouth Rt Hon Robert Windsor Clive to the ownership of the company known as Plymouth Estates of Ludlow Salop ? The land is described in the conveyance document in my possession as" hashed area 5 land adjoining Roxburgh with 3 Greenhouses " and is situated at Post Code CF64 3DX . The original lease commenced on the 16 12 1897 and was due to expire after 79 years on the 15 12 1976. Please confirm whether the National Museum of Wales is the freeholder of this land or if the leaseholder the unexpired term of the lease.

Thank you for your response. I will telephone The Museum soon to see if
there is a public e mail address that will receive the scan of the conveyance document. Thank Mr. Richards for his kind offer but I am unable to accept at present .I have discovered in the interim The Land Registry have no record whatsoever of the tenure of Turner House at any time since it's construction so I quite understand the difficulty you appear to be experiencing in confirming it's status.
