Dear Aberdeen City Council,

I’ve noticed an auto response stating that the quickest way to make an FOI enquiry is online, despite the enquiry already having been raised online via the what do they know portal. There is a link to the ACC portal included in these auto-replies.

I was under the impression there was a statutory timeframe for response to FOI enquiries.

What measurements have ACC used to make the claim that online is faster?

Are there internal procedures stating a reply is sent via the web portal as a priority over other requests?

How many duplicate enquiries have ACC had since rolling out this auto-reply?

How much time is spent searching for duplicates and merging enquiries?

How many enquiries via email or what do they know portal have ACC taken time in excess of the statutory guideline to answer?

How many enquiries via the web portal have ACC taken time in excess of the statutory guideline to answer?
