Trust approved Twitter accounts

The request was successful.

Dear West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust,

In relation to the "Trust Approved WMAS Staff" list on Twitter (https://twitter.com/i/lists/72700816), please advise:

1. If tweets must be approved by the communications department or similar

2. If staff are paid extra to operate an account

3. How staff are selected to operate an account. Do staff volunteer or are they selected by WMAS?

4. If staff are permitted to use the account for non-WMAS purposes such as advertising products

5. If staff are provided with any training. If so, is this training paid or voluntary?

6. Are staff permitted to block accounts that are critical of WMAS (but not offensive or abusive)?

Please also provide any policies or guidance that these staff must follow, such as a social media policy or a specific Twitter policy.

Yours faithfully,

Natasha Moore
