Treatment and care of incarcerated people with bleeding disorders

The request was successful.

Dear Dumfries and Galloway NHS Board,

I am interested in the information provided to prisons and other secure facilities in Scotland to ensure they are able to provide appropriate access to treatment and care to those they are responsible for with inherited bleeding disorders such as haemophilia a, haemophilia b, von Willebrands, other clotting factor deficiencies, or platelet disorders.

Specifically, what information is provided to,
a) Prisons and offender institutions including for those on remand,
b) to facilities for those detained under the mental health act,
within the territory of your health board?

Thank you for your help and assistance with this enquiry.

Yours faithfully,

Dan Farthing
