Training on sexual violence.

The request was successful.

Dear University of Derby,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, to request the following information:

Does your university currently deliver training on sexual violence to staff and/or students?

If YES:
Is this training mandatory?
Who is invited to attend the training?
How is the training delivered (e.g. online, in-person seminar, workshop, etc)?
What is the completion rate of the training?

    If NO:

Has there been any training offered in the past, and if so, what?
Is any training planned for the future?

If it is not possible to provide the information that has been requested, due to the information exceeding the cost of the compliance limits that are identified in Section 12, please provide advice, under your Section 16 obligations, as to how I may be able to refine my request to meet the requirements of the Act.

Dear Megan

Freedom of Information Act 2000 request FOI/1202

Your request for information has now been considered.

Can I seek clarification on your request please?  Your request: ‘Does your
University currently deliver training on sexual violence to staff /
students?’ Re you looking to see if any course that the University of
Derby runs includes training on sexual violence?  To look at all courses
and their individual modules would take the University over the
appropriate limit of 18hrs.  Are you just wishing to see if the University
holds a training workshop that invites both staff and students to take
part in?  Could you please define this part?

Could you also define the term ‘sexual violence’, are you meaning against
an adult, a child or both?

Kind regards

Dear UOD - FOI,

Thank you for your response. To clarify, I am asking if the university holds a training workshop for staff and/or students, or a similar form of training. Also, when talking about sexual violence, I mean adults, specifically university students.

Yours sincerely,

Dear UOD - FOI,

I am referring to any type of workshop that may be considered as a form of training, not just one type of workshop. Any workshops mentioned in the above list you have provided would be considered relevant to my request. The training however, does not have to take the form of a workshop; it may be online training, one on one sessions, or any other form of training.

Yours sincerely,
