Dear Judicial College,

I wish to request the following information. Please consider this request either under the FOIA, or as a "general correspondence" matter - whichever is likely to lead to disclosure.

I would like to know what training is offered to Civil Judges (including Family Judges).

I would like to know what training is mandatory for Civil Judges (including Family Judges).

The information I would like to see would include the syllabus of the course, an explanation of how it is delivered (eg - e-learning, correspondence), and a précis of the course content.

Many thanks,

Yours faithfully,

Jo Archer

JC Publications, Judicial College

Thank you for your communication. Could you please note that all requests to the Judicial Office under the Freedom of Information Act should be made to [email address] as per the instructions on the judiciary website - see https://www.judiciary.gov.uk/foi/

The Publications inbox is not monitored in the same way as the data access one and you were lucky this was picked up fairly quickly. "whatdotheyknow.com" has previously been notified that they should not direct FOI enquiries via this route.

It is noted that the request is an exact duplicate of one that has recently been answered following a clarification exercise. If there is an explanation for this please provide it if the request is re-submitted via the correct route.
