Tony Redmond Canada 2004

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,

Did the Commission pay for Tony Redmond to fly to and from Canada in 2004?

If it did, how much were the flights, did his wife accompany him, on what dates were the flights, to where in Canada did he fly and from where in Canada did he return?

Did the Commission pay for Tony Redmond to fly anywhere else in the year 2004 to 2005?

Yours faithfully,

Robin Ford

I wonder if he had a holiday whilst in Canada like he did when he visited Australia.

Dear Ms Pook,

For what reason were public funds used to pay for Mr Redmond to go from Montreal to Quebec and back?

Did Mr Redmond's wife accompany him to Gibraltar?

Yours sincerely,

robin ford

Dear Ms Pook,

Please be kind enough to acknowledge the above of 21 July. Many thanks.

"Unfortunately, the information I gave you in my reply of 20 July was slightly incorrect...."?

Slightly wrong? It was totally wrong. He was attending a conference in Quebec but flew to Montreal instead and then flew back from Toronto. So who invented the flight from Quebec to Montreal at £51 when no such flight took place? Surely if the Commission paid for the flights they would have a record of the full facts and not have to keep changing their minds over which airports were used and why.
