TM44 Air Conditoning

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Worcester College of Technology should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Worcester College of Technology,

You will be aware that all buildings in the UK with more than 12kw of combined air conditioning should have what is called a TM44 Air Conditioning Assessment lodged on the Government Landmark database every 5 years. Your buildings appear to have not got these Certificates and may be unlawful.

When do you intend to get these TM44 surveys undertaken?

Climate change is important, why have you not complied with this Legislation?

Who, specifically, is responsible for this issue; please supply all contact details?

Kind Regards

Paul Evans

Dear Paul

Please note that the FOI request was sent to Worcester College of
Technology, which merged in August 2014 with North East Worcester College
to form the Heart of Worcestershire College. We have answered your
questions on behalf of the merged college. I apologise for the delay in
replying, which was due in part to the fact that the original request was
addressed to WCT, which no longer exists.

Question: You will be aware that all buildings in the UK with more than
12kw of combined air conditioning should have what is called a TM44 Air
Conditioning Assessment lodged on the Government Landmark database every 5
years. Your buildings appear to have not got these Certificates and may be
unlawful. When do you intend to get these TM44 surveys undertaken?

Response: Worcester sites survey is under way at present and was completed
by Friday 12/2/16.  Redditch is still currently in date. At Bromsgrove,
the present survey expires 15 February and an order is being put in place
this week.

Question: Climate change is important, why have you not complied with
this Legislation?

Response: Bromsgrove & Redditch are compliant. Worcester was advised as
being below the limit of original recommendation.  Therefore, a survey was
undertaken as described above.

Question: Who, specifically, is responsible for this issue; please supply
all contact details?

Response: Marc Gray is the current Facilities Director. His email address
is shown on the email.

I hope that our response meets your needs.

Regards

John Littler
