Tier 2 (General) COS Issued Per Year

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Home Office,

Please share data for all Companies with Great Than or Equal to
(>=) 5 Tier 2 General COS Issued per year. Period = 6 April 2010 -
31 Dec 2014

The data is required is similar format to earlier published report
on ICT data as part of FIOA on 18 July 2014 FOI release Home Office (Link below)
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

Data is split for all companies per year on
a) Tier 2 (General) - CoS issued No#
b) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Nationality
c) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Gender
d) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Job Title
e) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Salary
f) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by SOC Code
g) On Client Contract and Not on Client Contract

The data can be easily retrieved from the Sponsor Management System with Oracle DB as the back end using SQL Queries. Effort needed is definitely less than couple of hours and very less than 600 GBP limit per request.

If you are unable to provide the data (quoting cost as the reason), please explain as to how the previous request on ICT was released, since it is only a change of Visa Type (from ICT to Tier 2 General), hence the previous SQL Query can be re-used, thereby reducing effort to less than 5 mins !

Yours faithfully,
Aditi G

Dear Information Access,

As per the recent report from Migration Advisory Committee in Feb 2015, Most data for entry clearance are sourced from the Home Office UK Visas and Immigration Proviso-Central Reference System (CRS) visa case working system.

Reference = Page No #16 https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/sy...

This means the data asked for clearly is available with the Government and is pretty easily summarized/ drill down/ roll up.

Yours sincerely,
Aditi

Dear Home Office,

I understand that Home Office is concerned about generating report for 22,000 sponsors and the effort/ cost involved.

Further clarification required:

1. Please confirm if each of the 22,000 sponsors have applied for >=5 certificates each year? My request was specifically was "Please share data for all Companies with Great Than or Equal to (>=) 5 Tier 2 General COS Issued per year. Period = 6 April 2010 - 31 Dec 2014"

2. The example of TCS was only to prove the point that information exists and easily retrieved.

3. Please confirm if reducing the no# of fields in the report will help Home office generate a watered down list? example of watered down fields (by removing nationality and gender):
Data is split for all companies per year on
a) Tier 2 (General) - CoS issued No#
d) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Job Title
e) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by Salary
f) Tier 2 (General ) - CoS used by SOC Code
g) On Client Contract and Not on Client Contract

Please feel free to suggest alternatives in terms of data extraction possible.

4. What is needed is a simple SQL Query (and not different queries for 22,000 companies) for all the companies at a single shot. How difficult is this for a good programmer? My stance is that this still takes 5 mins (please re-use the earlier query and modify the same)

Yours faithfully,
Aditi
